Before You Cleanse

Select a time frame that matches your commitment to the cleanse process. Our cleanses are designed to adapt to your lifestyle. Try scheduling your cleanse during your regular routine.

Resists the urge to over-indulge in the days before you cleanse. We know from personal experience that systems that are less populated are more easily evacuated!

We encourage ‘clean eating’ before starting your cleanse. Fish is likely the best protein to eat, but lentils and quinoa are nice alternatives. Raw and/or steamed veggies and fresh salads are perfect pre-cleanse meals. You may want to avoid processed (fried, baked) meats and poultry, refined starches (bread, white rice and pasta), dairy, sugars, alcohol and nicotine.

Hydrate. Hydrate. And then… Hydrate some more!

Most people don’t drink enough water each day. Our cleanses need water for maximum efficiency!  We strongly encourage clients to drink 3 liters (8- 12oz. glasses) of water each day. Try hard to pace your water intake throughout the day to avoid putting stress on your kidneys. Feel free to add lemon to your daytime water and cucumber to your evening supply.

 Ready. Set. Cleanse!

  • Drink one 3-liter bottle of juice each day. 
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water each day!
  • Make sure you get ample rest.
  • Toilet trouble? Colonics and enemas are great ways to flush the waste away.  Alternatives methods include Metamucil or laxative teas.
  • We recommend longs walks or low-impact hikes to keep your circulatory system active.
  • Massages are great to schedule during your cleanse.

 After the Cleanse

The great fact about g-lixir’s cleanses is there isn’t a required transition process back to solid foods. Our cleanses are already prepared with some of nature’s healthy food. If you’ve just completed our cleanse, you have proven to yourself that you are more capable of making healthy nutrition choices than you might have thought. We want to empower you. Subtle diet changes (water over soda) and slight nutrition adjustments (dark chocolate over milk chocolate) tend to have lasting overall effects.
